How to download AIB statements
- 1In AIB Internet Banking, click Accounts, select Statements and Fees, then click Statements. eStatements open as PDFs.
- 2In the AIB app, tap the three dots beside the account, or the account itself, then Statements and Account statements.
- 3Tap a statement, then the download icon in the top right corner to save the PDF.
Historical Transactions CSV or the PDF?
AIB Internet Banking exports Historical Transactions as a CSV file: choose Historical Transactions in the Accounts menu, pick the account, filter the dates and click Export. It covers transactions from the last 2 years.
For anything older, work from the eStatements, which go back 7 years. A statement for the period since the last one can also be ordered in the app or Internet Banking.
Converting an AIB statement
- 1Upload the PDF statements, up to 10 at a time and up to 50 pages each. If a file is password-protected you’ll be asked for the password; it’s used once and never stored.
- 2Review each statement next to its transactions. The opening balance, every transaction and the closing balance have to add up; if they don’t, the rows to check are flagged.
- 3Choose Export, then the Xero statement CSV, a QuickBooks CSV layout, Excel or OFX for Sage. For OFX, enter the sort code (NSC) and account number printed on the statement.
Before you rely on it
There’s no AIB template behind this: the converter reads each statement’s layout, so it isn’t limited to layouts someone has set up in advance. That also means an AIB statement hasn’t necessarily been tested, and results vary by layout. Convert one statement with the free pages and check that it balances before you convert a client’s whole history.
Every row links to the line of the PDF it came from, and the opening balance plus the transactions has to reach the printed closing balance. When it doesn’t, the rows to check are flagged before you export.
Client data
Files and results are deleted 24 hours after upload, or straight away if you delete them. Before uploading client statements, read the privacy notice: it names every company that processes statement data and where.

Questions
Can I download AIB statements as CSV?
AIB eStatements are PDFs. Historical Transactions in Internet Banking exports up to 2 years of transactions as CSV, but that’s a list of transactions rather than the statement. For older history, or when all you have is the PDFs a client sent, convert the statements.
Does it work with AIB credit card statements?
Yes. AIB keeps credit card eStatements for up to 7 years as well, and the balance check follows the card’s direction: purchases increase what’s owed and payments reduce it.
Is this made by AIB?
No. BalancedPDF is an independent tool, not affiliated with AIB. AIB is a trademark of its owner.
