How to download Bank of Ireland statements
- 1In 365 online, select the account to open its transactions, then select Statements.
- 2Choose a statement to open it as a PDF, and save it to your device.
- 3In the Bank of Ireland app, tap the account, select Statements and choose a statement to open or save.
Recent transactions as CSV, or the PDF?
365 online can export recent transaction history for current and savings accounts as a CSV file: select the account, then Export your transaction history. The mobile and tablet apps don’t offer it, and credit card transactions can’t be exported. 365 online searches up to 12 months of transactions.
For older history, eStatements go back 7 years. After an account closes, its statements remain available for 7 years as duplicate statements the client can order.
Converting a Bank of Ireland statement
- 1Upload the PDF statements, up to 10 at a time and up to 50 pages each. If a file is password-protected you’ll be asked for the password; it’s used once and never stored.
- 2Review each statement next to its transactions. The opening balance, every transaction and the closing balance have to add up; if they don’t, the rows to check are flagged.
- 3Choose Export, then the Xero statement CSV, a QuickBooks CSV layout, Excel or OFX for Sage. For OFX, enter the sort code (NSC) and account number printed on the statement.
Before you rely on it
There’s no Bank of Ireland template behind this: the converter reads each statement’s layout, so it isn’t limited to layouts someone has set up in advance. That also means a Bank of Ireland statement hasn’t necessarily been tested, and results vary by layout. Convert one statement with the free pages and check that it balances before you convert a client’s whole history.
Every row links to the line of the PDF it came from, and the opening balance plus the transactions has to reach the printed closing balance. When it doesn’t, the rows to check are flagged before you export.
Client data
Files and results are deleted 24 hours after upload, or straight away if you delete them. Before uploading client statements, read the privacy notice: it names every company that processes statement data and where.

Questions
Can I export Bank of Ireland transactions as CSV?
In 365 online, select the account and Export your transaction history to download recent transactions as CSV. It isn’t available in the apps or for credit cards. For older months, or when all you have is the PDFs a client sent, convert the statements.
Can I convert statements from a closed Bank of Ireland account?
Yes. Bank of Ireland keeps account statements for 7 years after an account closes, as duplicates the client can order. A paper duplicate can be scanned and converted, but scanned rows can’t be traced line by line, so check them against the page image.
Is this made by Bank of Ireland?
No. BalancedPDF is an independent tool, not affiliated with Bank of Ireland. Bank of Ireland is a trademark of its owner.
